Thanx to folks like u, there's tons of video available from the fair, better than any news reel or broadcast from that time. I was barely 7 when the fair opened in April of 64. I grew up right across from the fairs Corona entrance so there was lots of activity. Wish I had more vivid memories but except for a dozen or so b&w photos, dad had no video camera. I'm particularly fond of the shots of the GM Futurama because I could see that "digital clock" from our living room window. Thanks again.

What wonderful footage! I was born the year of the fair and have always had a fascination with it. This is better than anything else I've seen of the fair! Seeing it through this photographer's eyes is like being there! Thanks so much for posting this! I will watch it again and again!

Thank you for sharing your home movie film and digitized into a video capturing the movement and life of the 1964-65 NY Worlds Fair.
Your movie is unique because it shows the original, actual footage of some of the attractions' interiors and featured programs, which is exciting and a rarity to see. It's not ordinary to watch an amateur home movie filmed in low light in a public attraction. Which comes to mind the foresight of filming a descending sky ride, traveling on escalators, and sitting in auditoriums involved me in the Fair's spectacle. The Dupont Chemistry show is not a typical attraction that most people speak. In addition, footage of The Festival of Gas and Johnson's Wax. Especially noteworthy is the interior of The Vatican Pavilion, which I believe is the practically unseen Chapel of The Good Shepard, and the main must-see Michelangelo's Pietà on loan from The Vatican.

Though I was 4, when there in 65, I still have vivid memories that these movies reinforce

Thanks for this: Different time, Society and Culture. Aside from the Sphere, Towers and a few other small remains, you would never know it was there.
