How to Export Parts of a Video in Shotcut [2 Methods of Multiple Clip Exporting]

Показать описание
How to export multiple video clips in Shotcut at the same time without exporting the entire video. There are 2 methods depending on whether you have a .mlt file, or a compiled video (for example .mp4). In this video I demonstrate both methods and show you how to grab the snips you need from long videos and export them into individual files.

ABOUT THE VIDEO:
In this video I show you how to export small parts of a video or mlt file in Shotcut video editor. Shotcut is very versatile and allows you to use mlt files as playlist items, this is quite an advanced technique so I have also included the more basic single file export to demonstrate the differences of exporting parts of a video.

Joe Cullen - Just what I needed. I'm utilizing Shotcut through Docker within a web browser. Awesome. Thanks a bunch.

thanks for the tutorial, just what i needed, i tried to insert the very first cut, but that didn't work somehow, so i inserted the second cut, then i was able to insert the first cut & shift it on top of the second cut, for my project i needed all cuts from one complete mp4 file.

Thanks for taking the time to go through this. However, I think Adobe Prem has a much simple mark in and out to highlight your segment on the time line to export. The Shotcut methods seem fairly complex.

This definitely works and was super easy to use. Thank you so much for this video!

However, I ran into a snag and would like to know how to avoid it in the future. I missed a clip on exporting, so I pulled up the project and tried to copy that clip into the playlist and export. But it wouldn't let me click on the plus sign to add it. I ended up just creating a new project with the original video and cutting the section again (and that worked).

Hi Joe, this is a very useful video, thank you for sharing it. I have just used it and I am sure it will save me a bunch of time in the future. I have used the second method as I am currently editing a new video and was thinking that certain sections of the main video would make a great teaser video so fingers crossed.
Kind regards Paul from 48-SPOKES
