DUDE.... you have no idea how much time and stress you've saved me from. I've been trying to learn how to clean audio in adobe audition for YEARS. Watched many different tutorials. Many different effects, levels and tools, yet NONE, and I mean NONE have been this simple, this easy and this precise. Thank you so much for this, my audio has never sounded this good before, and it's only one simple trick as oppose to a ton of other effects. LOVE YA'!!!! :D

I have done this through taking a noise print of the “blank” part of the audio. Then I apply it using the noise reduction process you have described. The biggest challenge is making sure you have a bit of blank audio to work with. Your method is great if there doesn’t happen to be that little clip available. So this basically replaces the Capture Noise Print then Noise Reduction process that I use?

I could try it out for myself but my laptop is, like, way over there.

Yes. Yes it does replace the Capture Noise Print > Reduce Noise process… and it does it better.

so i use the capture noise profile to highlight the specific sounds i want to cut but it also cut out the studio ambiance that i want... is their a setting in the noise reduction that will take away the background sounds but keep the studio ambiance?
