Do not buy an "audiophile" DAC without watching this video first. You will surely waste your money otherwise.

@Sharur besides the Moto M2, what DAC can you recommend that is a bit cheaper maybe around the $100 range. I am planning to buy the Truthear Nova & was wondering what moderately priced DAC would be best partnered with it.

Good measurements only shows how supressed and unnatural the sound is. It's like solving mental problems with pills while the diet is totally off.

For import tax reasons, I can only get stuff below 200 usd.
What's a non terrible IEM, Mic, Headphone, Speaker, Amp and dac i could potentially get?
EQ is an option for me.

When it comes to microphones to me personally there are only 3 important characteristics. Either if its a dynamic or a condenser and then the self noise specs. Everything else should be able to be optimized by yourself.
But for DACs I had bad experiences recently. I am not mainly an audiophile but more of a gamer and since I play osu every now a then I noticed quiet a few DACs having pretty high input delay. I wish we had a database for that.

Finally we actually hear your voice and not the room in which you speak :D

Wow okay, so this is the interface to get? If not, which one then? And if not as well, whats the problem with the M2?

Two microphone slots... Are you trying to reproduce the nouvraught stereo vocals?

Could this work in a hifi set up? Output from the streamer to this and into pre/power amps? How would it compare to "audiophile" dacs found in DCS bartok, etc?

What did you pay for your M2? Just wondering so I know if I'd be getting a good deal or not.

You never said anything about how it sounds or what equipment you would recommend pairing it with?🤔
Well… if it measures well then it should sound perfect with all equipment?

I had this, and it was good, but I also got the Focusrite Scarlet Solo at the same time. I kept the Scarlet because it was just a better unit in every real-world way (it sounded better and got louder), and it was almost half the price.

tbh i think having a dac is better than my desktop pc's 3.5m jack cause i just used my phone and compared them and my sounds better, tbh better than nothing, anything you recommend that is portable or else?, i think imma go with moondrop dawn pro

While the DAC and ADC seem ok, the headphone amplifier is a bad joke what power is concerned. Any good dongle has much more power and while it may be sufficient to drive IEMs, forget to drive for example the Hifiman Sundara loudly with just 23mW at 33 Ohm. There are many more low sensitivity headphones this device will struggle with. Amir wrote: 'Headphone amplifier is barely adequate from power point of view but otherwise, not bad'. So a big caveat.

The only issue that I don't see as one is using external power. It's nice to have everything from a single USB cable, but I don't see nothing wrong with an external PSU, unless you really need to move places a lot.
Also yeah, I recommend my friends to use their mobo's DACs or get ones not over 150 bucks to fulfill their needs (more sources, inputs, outputs). What actually matters is the AMP nowadays.

Love the new mic. Used to have the NT1 aswell. Been doing alot of sidesteps in the mic genre. Went from the NT1 to the SM7B and now i have the Lewitt 440 pure.

But about the interface/dac. As you say, this is a steal with great options and one of the best choices if you want to use it with an xlr mic, guitarr or whatever. But some people would find it nice to have an option to use bluetooth, optical, maybe even coax. Most people i know and myself want the dac to be the Brain of your entire livingroom/ Listening setup. Which is why i have a so called Audiophile dac haha.

Also, i would love to see a setup tour at some point!
