Some of these aren't even survival kits, more like emergency preparedness and bug out bags. Hell, some of them are just camping set ups. The best tools for survival are knowledge, skill, and spirit. Those you can't lose. As far as a survival kit should be concerned, it should be small, light weight, and and portable and tailored to what type of environment you'll be in and how it'll be carried. Every personal vehicle should have a survival kit, and every person should be carrying a survival kit and a dedicated first aid kit even on day hikes.

I can’t find the The 72 by RediBags a 72 hour Emergency Kit

I enjoyed the video but I do appreciate your disclaimer in the beginning. IMHO the first bag is nice but does have a number of items that you may not need in a survival situation for example the toxic disposal bag. Plus, the bag doesn't afford you the ability to carry anything else so I"m not sure it's useful as a complete package. Perhaps on a day hike you could remove one or two items and place in your backpack but carrying the entire package doesn't make sense. The second kit is a good concept for a home or even vehicle survival kit, especially if you live in an area prone to things like hurricanes or tornadoes or in an area that experiences extreme weather conditions where you could be stranded while traveling. S.O.L. make a number of survival kits. The small one in this video could work for a short time, but they have other kits which IMHO are better suited for true survival situations. I won't bother commenting on the other kits. Not being negative, the video is informative but folks need to understand the difference between a Survival Kit and a Bug Out or Get Home Bag. A survival kit augments what you already have. A Bug Out bag is simply that - a backpack, duffle, pelican box, etc., that is stocked with sufficient gear to last a specific time period, normally 72-hrs and needs to be lightweight. I was taught that your Bug Out bag should be no more than a small percentage of your body weight, so a good practical weight is 15-18lbs. Again, I liked seeing/hearing about all the kits out there. Definitely a market for this stuff.

The concepts behind them are sound but most are to expensive. You are better making your own and use them as some what if a guide but tailoring it to your needs and skill level

I noticed just in the intro the individual shaving wood towards his own hand and using the blade of the knife to strikes a ferro rod. I guess this kit is missing the most important thing to survival. Knowledge of how to use your equipment and common sense. If you are truly worried about surviving emergencies, do your research and practice, practice, practice, using your equipment and becoming familiar with it.
