HOW I USED TO TRAIN BEFORE I WAS PREGNANT…

Let me start by saying every single pregnancy is different and you cannot compare your journey to mine or anyone else’s online. Some days I feel amazing and others the thought of the gym makes me sick 🫠 but when I do train I feel much better never worse at the end 👏

Serious props because as a former pregnant woman I could barely get the energy to walk to the kitchen. Probably didn’t help I spent most of my time in the bathroom 🤢 so lifting anything than my self was not in the cards

OMG!!! Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 Hope you have a safe pregnancy and childbirth and a healthy baby 😊. As someone who had to be on bedrest for most of my first pregnancy I was incredibly grateful to be able to exercise for all of my second pregnancy. It always makes me so happy to see pregnant women working out.

This takes me back to when I was pregnant in the Army. I worked out until the 8th month! Love to see it 🫶🏽

A while into watching your pregnancy progress i found out I was pregnant too!!! Once the excitement settled down, I was fretting that I could no longer exercise like I have been, so thank you Krissy for sharing what you do! Forever grateful for you!

I love seeing videos like this. People make it seem like you shouldn't do anything athletic while pregnant! There is so much you can still do, and it is so good for you to stay active while pregnant. I am 35 weeks pregnant and am still rock climbing every week! You just have to know what the real risks are and make adjustments.

before any NON personal trainers comment. personal trainer and soon to be exercise scientist here. Weight training during pregnancy is perfectly safe. so kindly, keep your opinions to yourselves

Girl, good for you!!! ✨️💕 I'm 9 weeks pregnant, and I can barely drag myself out of bed even though I worked out constantly before pregnancy. My workout now is basically walking and 🤢😂. Hope the 2nd trimestre will be better!

I would be at the gym 2hrs everyday before getting pregnant. I thought i could exercise like this after i got pregnant. I would literally feel like i was about to pass out everytime i tried. I’m happy to see women who can ❤

As a certified personal trainer who trained before, during, after pregnancy. Remember always to control your pelvic floor when you lift any weight. People don’t talk about but pelvic floor needs to be always be taking care of.

I did and all good ! But keep that in mind !

I always feel massive respect towards pregnant women working out because as a non/never pregnant woman I sometimes struggle to get my asss into the gym, I dont know how they do it❤

I am an athletic woman. I train a lot and consistently. However, when I’m pregnant, I feel drained, tired, weak, and if you add nausea and vomiting to that, the situation doesn’t get much better. During my first pregnancy, I had some bleeding while I was training, and they told me it was probably due to the effort, so I had to rest for a few days. Now I’m pregnant with my second baby, and I’ve tried to stay active purely out of willpower because if it were up to me, I’d be lying down all day (and that’s not like me). Anyway, every pregnancy is different. If you feel good and can train hard, congratulations. If, instead of just being pregnant, you feel like you’re sick with a thousand symptoms and fatigue, you’re not alone.

When pregnant your joints and ligaments loosen, to allow the baby to pass through the pelvis. Talk to your doctor before you engage in the same exercises you did before becoming pregnant to avoid injury!
