Fun fact, stations are on Victoria line are humped. Trains arrive at full speed and the incline acts as a braking mechanism. The exit of the station is a decline allowing the train to depart faster as it's going down hill. This saves energy, and allows the trains to run 10% faster than relying on electric traction alone!

They only really travel at 35 mph, just seems faster in small tunnels, Victoria line is really fast though but it’s been automatic since the late 60’s

What I find surprisingly nice, convenient and great about the Victoria line is each train comes once every minute, the second train leaves. The departure board says

I love how the doors indicate the train on underground stations, it's like how everything got scared when the Knight bus was arriving in Harry potter

As a northerner I don’t usually go to London but I went a few weeks ago and the underground is definitely the best

That’s the normal London Underground trains speed. However, it is true that they tend to approach the station at a higher speed compared to other European cities.

And plus it just looks more fast because you’re standing at the back of the platform rather than the front. Obviously he’s going to be going faster at the beginning of the platform.
