Once I learned how to get in the slot and at the same time, rotate properly, it was like magic. Man, it's such an awesome feeling once you get it. You must get it to a point where it feels natural and the only way to do that is to swing at home, a lot. I hit foam Callaway balls in my yard and those white, plastic balls you can get for $2 at Walmart and that has helped sooo much!

Amazing how intentionally getting that chest pointing down fixes so many other issues in the swing

The pointer drill is brilliant - it automatically fixes early extension.

The light in the chest idea works but it doesn't help me to generate clubhead speed. A more dynamic visualization is to picture a flame thrower centered in the chest. When I use this image I can mentally see and even hear the arc of destruction generated by the turning of the chest. The best way that I've found to get my chest moving with some aggression is to focus on turning the left and right shirt seams simultaneously back and through.

Just came across this older video. Love the iron man light. Felt the extension on the backswing, by making the light go up. Love it !

Wow. Another great video. It’s amazing how much GEARS separates feel from real. So many instructors teaching what they THINK happens in the golf swing. GEARS doesn’t lie!
BTW, love that introduction!

One line i really miss in the golf simulation is the line of the belly. I cant find any info on the relationship between the chest and belly in the golf swing. There is rotation in the legs and hips, belly, and chest/arms. The relationship between the belly and chest i think is monumental to understand the golf swing, and i would really love some data on that! Ergo, when do you unwind, do you even unwind? Etc

i learned that move in my college days, tough move to get. Teaching it to people and then watching them go through the same pain you like your stooping over and coming over the top....(when your feels are off) but when you get it, you can flush face on back of ball at impact, feels like the club is hugging the ball at strike

That downward move.... makes me think of Westwood.... great drills, can hardly wait to try them to see where I'm at. Thanks for video!

I am very guilty of this. Mike is right when I point the laser back to the ground in the downswing it feels like I am very bent over and low compared to my normal swing. I won't let that stop me from doing it now. Thanks for the tip!

Question: imagine the camera moved so it always faced the sternum face on, how would the arms move, more specifically, the trail arm?

Brilliant vid lads. I’m so guilty of doing this.

So I really feel like mobility is a major issue for me but it's never talked about, am I just making it difficult for myself of something?

When thinking about the swing, I keep coming back to the one second to complete the swing from start to finish and in the downswing it’s what, .25? I get anxiety 😥 thinking about this. It’s no wonder the game can be so hard for most of us.

Watching this last drill makes me want to get a laser pointer and see it on a shirt. I actually think this dude could market this and make a lotta money. 😉

I was playing at my local par 3 and caught a case of the shanks pretty bad. I ended up thinking about this video and it immediately fixed my contact. This confirmed to me that this has been the reason why I'll start shanking it out of nowhere.

Really love what you guys do and how you put stuff across. I'm this one the blue z-line on a blue avatar is hard to see. Can you make it yellow or something and longer too? Ta

great, guys. Excellent discussion by Shawn. Thanks. Parenthetically, I've got a physical therapist who is -helping with my rotary balance. ( I'm the guy with no feeling below his knees). First time in six years, I compressed a 6 iron. It's a start. pk
