Two key things: 1) The passengers who brought the virus onto the Sea Dream 1 were Americans. 2) By your own description, Americans all around us are not following the protocols in their communities, so what makes you think they will follow them on a cruise? Also, seeing how eager and excited Ben & David were about going on a cruise again, and how anxious and worried they are now, proves that, even if people say they would go on a cruise at the first opportunity, they probably won't feel so great about it if they find themselves in a situation where the virus makes it on board with them!

Demand for cruising is strong but people hesitate to book because of constant cancellations. Once cruises restart on regular basis booking sites will crush because of demand.

After 23 cruises, Yes my desire to cruise and 4 cancelations is changing, I think we will wait it out maybe till 2022.

What would stop me from cruising is getting frustrated that the cruises are constantly canceled. I’m not scared of covid. But with my work schedule I need to be able to plan, and their constant cancellations are super frustrating. I understand the “why” but that doesn’t make it any less frustrating.

We have 3 scheduled for 2021 due to Lift and Shift. We will not go in March 2021 and will wait for RCCL to cancel for a refund this time. We definitely want to Cruise again. Such a sad time for everyone who has lost jobs around the world due to pandemic. I pray it rebounds for all.

I agree with you Tony.... somewhere in the middle... I’m an RN ... I had COVID in April... I had 2 negative PCR tests, I was so ill with it ... and have since had antibody blood tests in June which showed I’d had COVID and this past Monday had a further blood test which showed I still (thankfully) have antibodies... the PCR tests don’t allows pick everyone up that has COVID... I still wear PPE at work.. I wear a mask 😷.. 8 hours a day at work...and every time I go in a shop, supermarket etc.... you just get used to wearing them!!! I’m anxious to go on a cruise..would not dream of traveling ANYWHERE without a mask on !!!

I have the same comment on Ben and David's video, but from the beginning I wondered at the idea of picking up passengers from different ports along the way. As B&D state in their video, the group of 6 flew in to the barbados port from the US and may have caught the virus on the flight - a time span that wouldn't allow the boarding test to pick it up. I would think they wouldn't want to expand their "bubble" by allowing such additional passengers with such risks so early in the return to cruising.

Ben and David Tweeted earlier today that they now have 7 cases on board. I think masks would've helped.

I love the caption of this Ben and David’s cruise AFTER COVID 19! AFTER? Try during...and no masks on them either! Someone tell them we’re in the middle of a plague...even if the cruise didn’t require masks, the passengers should use their brains and protect others! I hate the irresponsibility of it all!

If people want to go cruising again, they need to get serious about this virus. People think their right to not wear a mask is more valid than the rights of others who want to get rid of the virus.

I hope this incident doesn’t affect the current trial cruises in order to get us all cruising safely. By what I’m understanding is that ship didn’t enforce and follow recommendations from the CDC .
