Agree with Gayle, what's going on in our country is scary and sad for all of us. We need to get a grip and work together. This 18 yr. old had a couple of things in common with others like him - an absent father, family problems, isolation and rejection. Obviously it didn't take much to trigger him to go off the rails.

One thing kids need to be told about, if they see anyone in military gear, that are not in the military, need to take cover, adults already doing this. It is obvious after the attack on our capital, we are being attacked from people who have been weaponized. One of my grandchildren do not go to public school any longer for two reasons, covid & school shooting. I have 3 grandchildren in another state who has all had covid 2 times, and twice they had to clear the school because weapons found in kids bags, which parents were charged. More of the question is why republicans are demolishing what gun laws we have, like recently changing the law where 18 year olds can buy AK style weapons, which this guy bought 2 AF style weapons on his 18th birthday.
