Instead of having those metal ladders, you could have actual stairs that have steps down and since they are attached to the ground they can’t break off :)

If the stairs break there's the shallow end you can climb out of and I've been in a pool longer than 45 minutes and longer than an hour, the water gets cold and you get really wrinkled but I never found it hard to breath 😂 and iv swallowed heaps of pool water and it hasn't done much considering its supposed to be toxic
