I had a retinal detachment, and here's the whole story:
I was at school and I noticed that my eye was constantly flashing and something gray appeared and I could see absolutely nothing. I didn't want to get angry at school because we were doing a paper assignment. When I got home I told mom and dad and called it a day. The next day, the flashing went away, but a yellow spot appeared over the surface of my eye, which made me uncomfortable. It was fine for the first year until I noticed that I was drastically losing my vision. Otherwise, retinal detachment is operated within 24 or 48 hours. I told my parents that we have to go to the doctor because something is wrong. we went to the regular ophthalmologist clinic and he just checked the diopter and called it a day.
Half a year, maybe even two years have passed since I went to the main ophthalmology clinic in my country "Svijetlost", and they literally examined me for 2 hours on various types of machines and found retinal detachment. I was very angry because I couldn't find it before. We had a lot of various examinations with various specialists and decided to have the operation in Zagreb. my retina was already almost rotten, so I didn't manage to save my sight, and currently I can only see 10 percent. the operation lasted almost 4.5 hours and my doctor did everything he could to save the eye. The operation cost a lot for an ordinary family in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but I don't spare a penny. Thank you to everyone who worked hard for my vision and my condition. (If you are wondering how I am writing this, the retinal detachment was in the right eye and the left is completely healthy and I can see 65 percent in it.)
