There might be some mixed perceptions about what the stakes actually are. Presently, Israel is engaged in multiple fronts: Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon, and Yemen. Strikes in Iran potentially opens up another front. This could evolve into Irael being assaulted from multiple angles at once, including HAMAS. This means more adversarial launches will penetrate the Iron Dome and both Iraeli noncombatants including more Palestinian noncombatants are apt to be killed. All this despite supportive activity on Iraeli behalf by US warships and possiblly Jordan. There would also be the possiblility of US boots on the ground if Iran attacks our troop stationed in the region. We believe this could be averted if both Israel and Iran negotiate a sustainable ceasefire now. For starters.
