American tries German Candy!

In Germany, we use nearly never marshmallow. Normally its a milk cream or something with hazelnuts. Or in Dickmanns its from the eggwhite.

I know someone, an actor, who does that everytime, i dont know how but he always get some and gets them trough the customs!

Yes the surprise eggs are prohibited in the US, for stupid reasons, i think the regulation is that there is no non food allowed inside of food, but really, you dont eat the egg in one bite, you open it, eat the choclate and then play with the inside!
Its anyway in a shell, so that no one would get any problems when swallowing the whole thing!
And the commercial is, "I want chocolate, a surprise and something to play with!", "Oh thats not possible!" Kinder surprise eggs, Chocolate, a surprise and something to play with.
Well, actually its only chocolate and something to play with, the surprise is the play part!

And while I'm writing this, I can think of Erdnußflocken as a burger topping. Could be a nice touch, will try it the next time.

It's very popular in schools or for kids birthdays to give away bread rolls with a Dickmann mashed in between. It is so delicious !

Toffifee is so good. you have to let the chocolate melt in your mouth till you have the caramel and the hazelnut left

Hanuta is a very old sweet, Knoppers came later, i see Hanuta as the ancestor and Knoppers the advanced version, much softer much better, but as i was a kid, Hanuta was the way to collect soccer stickers, every year they had the Bundeslige teams and a collection book, and when there was the world championship or european, they had the same for it too.
"I give a ... for two ..."
It was almost like your baseballcards or pokemon cards later.

I also used to collect the Kinder surprise eggs figurines, i had a lot of Happy Hippos and smurfs and so on, Asterix and many more!

Hi Scott, first of all, thanks for mentioning my butter recommendation.
You had a good selection of chocolate based candy, mostly linked to the Ferrero brand. If you check the ingredients on most European chocolates, the biggest difference to American chocolate is the type of oil being used. That particular variation makes up for the slightly different flavor.
How about testing the great variety of non-chocolate candy on one of your upcoming clips?

"Kinderüberraschung" funny Christmas story: when our children were little, the grandparents decorated the Christmas tree with "Überraschungs-Eiern" and after the Christmas meal all adults were busy assembling the toys. The Right Christmas gifts were somehow uninteresting. The chocolate halves were kept and eaten little by little.

A few year (can't recall when) I had to try some Oreos only because of J'onn J'onzz (AKA the Martian Manhunter). In one of my favorite comics runs, Giffen/DeMatteis' Justice League run, he became obsessed (and actually addicted, or maybe not) to Oreos. And what's good for a martian must be good, right? ;-)
