I am responsible for doing pretty much all of the C.V.T. transmissions at my work. Nissans make up a lot of that work and I have gotten pretty good at removing and replacing them over the years. I thought i would make a tips and tricks video on this 2014 Nissan Sentra. Hopefully it is helpful and thanks for watching. Check out my channel for more transmission and other content!!

For the top starter bolt, I ran an 18mm swivel on an extension between the intake and the alternator from the passenger side of the engine and it saved my knuckles

Thanks for posting this video. I don't need it but Nissan replaced my transmission about 2 years ago. I know it's only a matter of time before I need to do it again myself.

Excellent Video Sir,
I didn’t quite beat your time but I started around 10am and was finished by 4pm
First Sentra Transmission I’ve done

Good tips. I pulled the fan out which took about 10 minutes which made the starter and torque converter bolts way easier to get to. Done in 2.5 hours.

I know this video is a bit old but by chance when installing the cvt transmission do you need to reprogram the transmission? I’ve been seeing a lot of people say it needs to be reprogrammed after installation. Thank you 🙌🏼

Looking to buy a 2013 Sentra on marketplace. It needs a transmission. This will be my first transmission job. Really excited

Sweet. I was told I would have to get my replacement transmission reprogrammed from the previous vehicle it was in and then reprogram for my car. Have you heard of that before?

Looking to buy a 2014 Sentra with 80k miles that had it's transmission replaced 5k miles ago. The owner says it still acts up and slips gears. I haven't test drove it yet but I am having my mechanic look at it this week. Is there anything I should ask them to check? Thanks for posting this vidya!

Did you have to do a relearn,
Or program the new trans to the car?
We had a new transmission (purchased from Nissan )put in a 2014 Sentra. It has no power and won’t go over 20 mph.
Feels like it’s stuck on “gear”
So to speak

Quick question on the transmission module. I am using a used transmission. Do I use new module or old module from original car.

I have a 2014 Nissan Sentra. It had a transmission replaced due to an accident the first year of the car and a second transmission in 2021. It recently broke down with the following codes: a P0746- pressure control solenoid and P276- turbine speed sensor. I am told I need a new transmission. Financially it is the only thing I can afford. Is this a terrible decision? Is there advise you can give?

Thanks for the video man, I just noticed the same hole in my 2014 sentra (in your index finger, near this point in the video 3:48), do you know what is it? Is something missing there?

Neighbor is selling 2015 Nissan Sentra fro $1000 with “bad transmission” . They are elderly and not car people so let’s see what we’ve got. Going to look at it this evening and had to look a a YouTube video to see if I’m up to the task. I’ve done a maxima before so I think I’m up to it

We operate a shop here in Canada, and my local dealer is telling me that I need for around 500$ of gaskets and oil. I know that oil is pretty expensive, but which gaskets are involved in that job?
