I would never think that a note described in such offensive terms by people, would be as good to me as it is. Oud is one of those things. I'm white enough that my veins peek through my arms bright-blue, I have no cultural association with this stuff, and yet it's so good.

I smelled Ormonde Jayne Ormonde Elixir. It had a little bit of a fecal thing poking through the bergamot in the first minute or two, but that went away quick along with the bergamot, and it dried down into a very specific smell: the smell of driving around with my dad and his best friend in his buddy's all original '70 Challenger. It smelled like an old car that's been sitting in a forest for a while, which is what that car was. It's a truly undesirable description on paper, but it wasn't like raw gasoline in quite the way that something like Fahrenheit smells. It smelled like a 50+ year old muscle car interior. And I loved it.

Guys maybe I'm late to the party but what's the compression between oud and poop smell..? 😅😅 I own 9 fragrances and none of them are reminiscent of that ? Unfortunately for me I find none of them to be extremely potent except for maybe Shaghaf Oud Abyad.. anyone have suggestion for the strongest and longest lasting oud ? ( Without the rose note plz ) ?
