‘The Watcher’: NJ stalker says he ‘watches’ home in violent horror movie-like notes - TomoNews

WESTFIELD, NEW JERSEY — A million-dollar home in Westfield, New Jersey apparently comes with its very own stalker dubbed “The Watcher.” Some say it’s an attempt to bring down the price of the house or a joke. But the stalker’s creepy, threatening letters have already made one family flee; and the house is now for sale again.

“I am pleased to know your names now and the names of the young blood you have brought to me. Who has the bedrooms facing the street? It will help me to know who is in which bedroom, then I can plan better,” reportedly read one of the notes by The Watcher.

After buying the home for $1.3 million in 2014, by mid 2015, the Broaddus family had had enough. They sued the previous owners for not mentioning there was a possible stalker, then got the hell out Dodge. Now, anyone looking for a creepy house can now rejoice as the home is back on the market, discounted to just $1.25 million.

The Watcher might be a hoax, but the letters at least indicate the person has a longstanding beef with this house and its occupants. “My grandfather watched your house in the 1920s, my father watched in the 1960s and now it’s my turn,” read one of the the spooky missives. Another asked the family if, “they’d found what’s in the walls yet? In time they will.”
