Let's take a look. Here are a few things to consider when deciding if it's the right time to buy your first bra.

Do you feel like it is time?
A lot of this will be based on just how you feel. If you feel like you are ready, then let's get you started and get you used to wearing a bra. Don't worry about being the first or the last of your friends to wear a bra. In a few years, I promise you everyone will be wearing one. I am going to let you in on a secret tho.. most adults hate wearing bras. So don't be in a rush - you might get sick of it sooner than you think!

Does your body look or feel different?
Everyone starts to growing breasts at a different times, different grades. If you feel a small lump right behind your nipple or you just feel that your breasts look different than before, these could very well be the first signs. You might not need a bra this very moment, but you should start learning about them.

Does that area feel sore?
You might have experienced some growing pains already, usually in your legs or arms. Since your breasts are a part of your body and it is connected to a muscle, you will most likely feel some pain or soreness in that area. If there is some pain, a padded bra might be a good idea.

My mom bought me bras close to Christmas in 2019, but I haven’t put them on, but my older brother doesn’t understand that it starts developing before you are like 15 , and so he will hit me there and I will get really hurt and my brother says it doesn’t even hurt for me, that it feels the same for boys, like if you want to slap my brother in the face.

For me when I was younger I did ballet and dance and a bunch of sports so I already had sports bras but now I'm afraid to ask for an actual SUPPORT bra..

If you're a tween/kid I suggest getting a sports bra or a t-shirt bra that's padded. I wouldn't get a REAL padded one till 13 (unless you need one before that)

Ok so I know it’s going to be really scary to tell your mom about getting a bra but she will completely understand, if she doesn’t, then say you will be much more comfortable with one and how I told my mom is on text.She was actually really excited for me so if someone is scared like I was maybe try what I did.

I was shopping w my mom. We were searching dress for me. I saw bra section and I was like "please god mom need to see that section' (I was scared to ask) . Mom was like: " Is it time for your first bra? " I was like: "ummm... Maybe". So this was my first bra story and btw I hate that feeling when you do sports (jump) without bra.
