In school our OBGYN teacher only taught us fetal lie for maybe 10 mins, got frustrated that we kept asking questions because we were confused (and turns out she was teaching us wrong and kept saying the wrong things so no wonder we didn't get it), had a meltdown in the middle of class, and refused to teach us fetal lie ever again! I learned more from you than I ever did from her! Thanks, Henry!

Henry, I have a stupid question. My brain can not seem to process how to turn the probe to get Situs when the fetus is transverse. Say I put probe down sag and see the feet and a trv cross section of abdomen. Scan over to mom’s right and see baby’s head. So trv head right. Now do I just keep probe in sag position to determine situs or do I still turn the notch to mom’s right (which gives me mirror image)? I think another thing that is throwing me is that my memory is not great, but I’m pretty sure I was told once that trv head right should give you same situs as a breech baby and trv head left should give you same situs as vertex baby. But now I’m questioning whether that’s supposed to be switched (head left same as breech, head right same as cephalic)
Thoughts?

You are good, but these things are complex, brain wrecking imaginative learning on theory and harder to put it in practise when you are in front of the scan
