MASSIVE Uluwatu - Jet Skis & Paddle Surfing in Bali

a 12 foot long period swell hits Uluwatu, Bali July 18th, 2020 during the pandemic and it was one for the books. With clean and super beautiful surf plus pandemic (non-existent) crowds the usual suspects had the most classic Uluwatu session imaginable.
The tow-ins from the jet ski were taking minute-long rides on waves quadruple overhead in size.
Vibes were all-time on the Single Fin deck with Tim Morris announcing on the mic and Tai Buddha providing jet ski support and even ripping a few waves himself.

You know, I live in the Hawaiian islands! Where every island has its share of "Bad-###" waves, literally!! But, big "Uluwatu" is something to behold! Beauty within the beast!! It's all there, literally!! What a nice "open ocean" wave! Awesome! 🎉🎉🎉

I love seeing a big Gun (10 foot plus) paddling into a thick wave and know the Dude ‘earned it. At 63, I refuse to use a ski into a wave, too many things can go afoul.

I can't think of another break in world surfing that holds its shape like Uluwatu. From 2 ft to 20 (and maybe more) it's recognisable as the same break, even if it might bring into play different bottom conditions as it moves further out. Just an amazing place and amazing wave.
