It's a good view point. Behind the wave is almost flat so most of the water in the wave is dredged up from the front. A heavy heavy break that seams to just suck up the whole ocean. Teahupoo at its best. 😱

There must be quite an undertow. I belly-surfed on waves like that, unaware of the undertow conditions and got a scraped tummy from the sand while on landing on the beach.

Never trust the ocean. When young me and my younger brother were not even deep being closely watched by our parents in some beach in Florida it was nice and calm but all of a sudden we noticed the level rising (and I’m no great swimmer) I got scared and warned my brother we swam as fast to shore as we could! All of a sudden can play tricks on you. I never forgotten the scare we got.

One thing I've learned about the Ocean, is it's alive, not just water, it breathes, it roars it will drag you into oblivion and do it again, I know this because I have lived my entire life in thee edge of the water.Infact, to make it funny born on the shores of Neptune New Jersey, raised on 101, P.C.H Malibu and learned to surf at five, years later after years of sun ruined skin, I now live Northern Cali, i no longer surf, im alot older and our sea currant goes three different ways and the water is very deep and very cold, only wet suits here, so I know to not look back on the Ocean, 🌊 Much respect to all surfer boys and girls, but I have not been in a back wards wave, that must be very unsettling, and kudos to all who love to ride and respect the sea, it will let you play, but if your not careful, it will eat you and take your life, not to mention SHARKS and angry sea lions who are hungry, love all, who live in blue amd hteen elecyric❤❤❤
