I literally walked in a comic book store and this guy was following me and when I asked why HE LITERALLY SAID "Thought that you might get lost looking for a book to get for your boyfriend" and I said that I don't have one and he said you're single?" AND I WAS SO DONE

'I'm a Ravenclaw, and she is a Hufflepuff. Oh. Pokemons.' I swear a part of my soul died.

Why can't there be comic t-shirts for both genders?

For the mourning the loss of fictions characters is so true...
But for the Supernatural fandom it's just"They will come back just wait a few episodes"

When someone says they've watched the Harry Potter movies but haven't read the books...

The struggle of shopping in the boys department is true though. Whenever I'm there, people automatically assume I'm shopping for my brother or something, and give me the weirdest, most *disturbed* looks when I want to try on something in a fitting room. Pretty much the same deal when a cashier's checking my stuff out and see's all the Marvel and BBC Sherlock paraphernalia in my cart. Males in the fandom's are actually pretty chill at this point - they just want to enjoy the content and freak out about it like you, it's people (both girls and guys) that aren't part of the community that are ignorant and rude. Like other females asking you questions like, "are you just pretending to like those things to get attention from boys?" And guys always brining up brothers and boyfriends as if to excuse you from liking "masculine" things. It's so annoying, and kinda insulting to be honest, and I just want people to stop.

"Mourning the loss of a fictional character"
I don't think mourning can begin to describe how I felt after Infinity War.

Don't forget the 'Oh you're such a nerd'... THERES A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GEEKS AND NERDS OK LEARN IT

The 'not being taken seriously' one & 'unwanted attention' at comic/collectible shops or while online gaming are the worst. Sick of random guys expecting you to PROVE that you actually like the things you're spending money & time on. Annoying.

It was way worse years back, it's gotten better 😁

Or the worst problem comic and gamer girls experience:

When guys say we're prosers or fake fans. That we just "pretend" to be into comics and video games to "get attention"....

I'm a huge Deadpool fan have been since the '90's, nothing makes me madder than some guy (who has only seen the movies) tries to argue with me about Deadpool history and facts. I always hear the dreaded "yeah, whatever wannabe".

Half of these are so true ...

Plus I couldn't help bursting out laughing at the beginning when he thought they were cosplayed/dressed up as someone from pokemon

"Looking for something for your boyfriend?" THAT'S ACTUALLY BEEN SAID TO ME BEFORE. Bish plz the closest thing I'll ever get to a boyfriend is a male game character that I find attractive.

so true... and being underestimated during a game too XD
