I want to see a series of her just reading various misogynist internet ramblings in this dramatic voice. Hilarious.

gamer girls, geek girls, tomboyish girls, girly girls, who the hell cares, all girls are fucking awesome and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. especially not insecure little boys who struggle with facing females way outta their league.

Male comic book artists make female character and superhero's clothing extremely sexual and then call female cosplayers wearing those costumes attention-seeking whores. That's totally rational and fair.

that guy insulted us comic

Just cause I read lots of comics doesn't mean I'm a pathetic virgin who doesn't know how to talk to girls....I'm a virgin by choice...gosh!

there is no such thing as "a true geek" or "a fake geek", people like different things on different levels that just all.

And the influx of bro "gamers" wonder why women are starting to make 'women only guilds' to get away from their drama?

Some of these comments really make me think 'american style jocks' have completely taken over the title of "geek". Because this is not how I remember geeks acting in the 80's-90's.

As a girl who plays video games, I am SICK and TIRED of the relentless quizzing of my video game knowledge to assess whether I am worthy to be considered part of the same fandom as geek guy X
GUESS WHAT??? I play video games for MY enjoyment. MINE. And I couldn't give less of a crap whether or not YOU (geek gamer dude) feel that I am disturbing your little niche because you dont own the video gaming world, you own copies of video games....just like I do.

Im tired of everyone hating on her. I'm one hundred percent nerd. I like Harry Potter, gaming, doctor who, and books in general. But alot of people call me a 'power's or 'cake's because I don't have merchandise. This is stupid. I love all these things but I don't have money to spend on them.

Also, has a guy ever been called a poser? No. Because no guy would fake anything, apparently. Yeah, right. I know plenty of guys who are posers but no one believes me. So stop all this stuff and let ppl be

Wow, I feel like an idiot because I didn't even really know girl gamers were hated on so much until I read the comments on this page.  This is friggin nuts! There are so many people mad at her because some OTHER person (or people) from there past hurt them or called them names?  How is she personally representative of every individual or group that made you feel ashamed at some high school she's never even heard of?

These comments are ridiculous. First of all, why the fuck do you assume it was only guys who were bullied for liking nerdy things? I was bullied for my interests my whole life. It was only when I got to high school it got better and honestly at that point I think I just stopped noticing. We were still the nerds and the weirdos who hung out in the cafeteria.

Girls can't be nerdy? Since when? And who are you to call her a fake? Just because she's pretty and has pink hair? Because she's calling you out on your bullshit? Watch her other videos she's not fake.

Second of all, who the fuck are you? Who are you to tell someone what they can and can't like? People like whatever they want. So what if people get into comics from movies? I really loved the daredevil show and now I kinda wanna read the comics, am I fake? I've been a fan of Harry Potter since I was like 7 or 8. When someone tells me they've never read the books but liked the movies, my reaction is 'omg you have to read them right now they're so much better than the movies' not 'omg you're a fucking fake you're not a real Harry Potter fan'.

Real nerds love to share their interests with people. To talk about them and get excited about them and spread the awesomeness. Don't be a fucking dick.

In the situation when being quizzed, I usually reply with asking them a question about a different comic, in most cases they will reply "I dont know, I dont care for that comic" and from that go to "And Im not intrested in the one you asked about so I dont have a anwser for you either".. That somewhat shut them up.

You're so dead on! People of both sexes find it hard to be vulnerable and genuine. But, when women are vulnerable and genuine, they're accused of doing it for male attention. Hmmmph.

"the comments on any article about feminism justify feminism." That quote comes to mind when I read the comments on this video. Some of these comments really, really disgust me. Some people need to grow up, and some of you obviously didn't watch the video.

This whole "Fake Geek Girl" trend is incredibly asinine, so I love seeing it, and those who believe it, get the "Reason You Suck Speech" they deserve. Your reading of that Facebook post was hilarious, though.

I had gone to a con dressed as Lucy Heartfilia from Fairytale. My whip had broke at the previous convention I had gone to, so I couldn't have a whip for this one. After about 30 minutes of looking at the booths, a guy walked up to me, telling me my "getup" was cute and all, but I was just looking for attention. He told me that since I didn't have the whip or blue bow in my hair, I was just wanting guys to look at my boobs. I then explained to him that I was 12, and my whip had broke at the last convention, and the wig I wore couldn't have a bow in it because it was to long and thick, it wouldn't stay. He screamed at me for this. He spit in my face and called me a fake geek girl. I wanted to cry and almost did.

I swear to god, every damn time I post a COSPLAY or make a comment about comics, I am called a fake nerd girl. IT IS SEXIST. THERE ARE FAKE NERD GIRLS OUT THERE. HOWEVER, NOT EVERY ONE OF THEM IS FAKE. Thank you much for saying this.

Everyone has made some great comments about the validity of girls who are geeks, and I definitely can't say it better, so.

But here's something. Say there were actually a lot of "fake geek girls". So what? So fucking what? Aren't you proud? We, as total nerds, have become the new "in thing" in popular culture. Isn't it cool that people want to be like nerds because it seems like an awesome thing to be? And if someone wants attention, so what? Loads of people want attention. It's not terrible to give it to them. It's not terrible to make someone feel nice about themselves by complimenting their cosplay or whatever. Unless you're being gross about it, but honestly. What's the big fucking deal?

So if a woman enters a man's space, he has to respect her, and if a man enters a woman's space, he has to respect her... And all because of her gender?
