Monosaccharides- Glucose, Fructose, Galactose.
There are Disaccharides- Sucrose. Which is sugar.
Polysaccharides- Glycogen.
This is how it works
Glucose breaks down by the Oxidation that is breathing into Carbon dioxide + Water + Energy(1gm of glucose give 673kcal).
Equation
C6H12O6 + 6O2 -> 6CO2 + 6H20 + 673 K cal.
