Benefits of Playing Chess:

Chess is an intellectual battle where players are exposed to numerous mental processes such as analysis, attention to detail, synthesis, concentration, planning and foresight. Psychological factors are also present on and off the board; playing Chess stimulates our imagination and creativity. Every single move a player makes is the result of a deep analysis based on the elements presented on the battle field.

Chess in its essence teaches us psychological, sociological and even moral values. In a Chess game, both players start with the same amount of material and time. The fact that the white pieces move first is considered to be practically irrelevant —especially because a player typically plays one game as white and one game as black. Consequently, the final result of the battle solely depends on each player. It doesn’t matter if you win by taking advantage of your opponent’s mistakes or by simply avoiding mistakes yourself. Truth is that Chess is an extremely individual sport and our defeats can only be blamed on ourselves and no one else. And this, in the end, only benefits us because we learn to be and feel responsible for our actions and never come up with excuses to justify ourselves.

We also learn that when it comes to our victories on the board, our opponent's mistakes play a more significant role than our own skills. Let’s not forget that a Chess game without any mistakes would be a draw. This way, Chess provides us with another valuable life lesson: be humble at all times.

The second games was awesome! You could feel the frustration and revenge playing in the opponent! Chess always looks so easy when played by a pro!

please please please do more "coach plays chess" videos
i really learned a lot from this one video
it will also give ways to proceed when opponent uses different opening...
because many times when my opponent uses some gambit type openings then i can no longer follow my usual opening...
this was the best lesson in the series so far😁😁

I started on this channel watching some KID and Pirc videos as this is the opening that I play. From the beginning I thought that your style and the way you repeat positions and move orders was extremely helpful. In one of those videos you got to a position with the black pieces and said "If you don't feel comfortable in this position then you don't need to be studying openings, you need to go back to some of the earlier videos". I decided to take that advice and what I have found is perhaps one of the best, most well laid out and easy to understand courses that is available. And it's FREE!!!! Thank you for making this course for everyone Robert. This channel is better than all the instructional videos on all the other channels and big name streamers.

Blacks knight went from g8-f6-g4-e5-c6-d4-c2 to capture one pawn in the end and all that while his bishop on f8 never moved and his king never castled. Thats why one should't move the same piece multiple times in the opening unless there is a very good reasoning

This is great. You should do more games like this, play live and explain each move. Thanks for uploading!

This was so helpful! Watching you play a live game and explaining and justifying your moves is a great way to learn! I am hesitant to play a live game with someone yet because my game is so weak. After a few more lessons with you, I think I will give it a try. Thank you so much for what you do here!

Thanks Robert. I’ve been looking for instructive games just like this. Other streamers show live games but don’t take the time to explain the reasons for making each move like you do. Love your videos keep them coming!!

not getting rid of the opponent's center file was the mistake i was making. This really helped.

I really struggle with fair trade and sacrificing pieces. It stresses me out. But this video is a good reminder of how powerful a technique it is because at all times you were focusing on which file the king was in and what was needed to get closer to it.

Summing everything up and adding layers along the way and touching on them consistently is a great asset to this course! I liked the video. Thanks Coach.
