I love how in less than 5 minutes of Sage telling Eggman about the launch codes, it is implied that he hacked into the US military's nuke controls, entered the codes, and most likely did an evil speech for half of that time.

It's not emphasized much in-game, but Sage actually is an emotionless AI that develops into a more "real" person throughout the game. She really was just a bot with no emotions at first. She was just Eggman's regular computer AI until she was hooked up to the Starfall Island computers, which are designed to contain the information that makes up an individual- personality, emotions, etc.
