After deliberating between the 2 pro sizes and the mini, I bought the mini and have absolutely not regretted it. Everything I envisioned doing on the pro, I can do on the mini. I may have missed out on some screen real estate while producing art, but the portability is unbeatable and an incomparable factor amongst all. Best buy of 2023... Love it!!

Currently I'm a medical student on rotations. Got a used 64 gb for $350 and its the best investment I've made all year. When you're on rotations, you have to run around the hospital following patient charts/results, study on the go, answer practice questions, and be told to research treatments and diseases by preceptors. The ipad fits in my scrubs pocket and does all these things and more. I've already had resident doctors follow my lead and buy their own because its so convenient. I'm also an artist so in my down time I can doodle on Procreate. 64 gb is more than enough for what I need it for.

I found one for 400.00 lte 256 on ebay. Had to have been a warranty replacement. Everything was pristine and support checked battery health was still 100! Been loving it for the last few weeks!

Love my iPad mini 6. Hands down the best tablet I’ve ever used. A perfect size for using with a style of a clamshell/keyboard.
The top thing I’d like most to see on a new iPad mini would be wireless charging.
The iPad mini is brilliant for content creation: OneNote, MS Office, mind maps.. for content consumption (reading, youtube etc), for games and a lot more. Love it - excellent performance and battery life.

I am currently on iPad 11 Pro and I wish iPad mini had everything the Pro has, that's the only thing stopping me, but I Love the iPad Mini 6 design.

Love my mini 6. The only problem is the Touch ID got cracked less than a year after I got it and it would have been $400 to replace the iPad, so I just live without it. I got the cellular model, so it goes everywhere. I can take MS Teams meetings from my car, watch video on the go, etc. when I’m home, I use my 12.9” M1 Pro, but the mini is great to throw in my purse and take anywhere.

My iPad mini 2 is still going unfortunately it won’t update. But I had it for almost 10 years?! Brilliant. I’m so sad to let it go but most apps have stopped working. I prefer the mini size. Very excited to see how different this is.

my ipad is much more of a recreational device (browsing, youtube, occasional sketches with a $20 pencil) and I love the 6! I got one over the summer after many years with the 4th gen. I finally upgraded when the keyboard started becoming too laggy to use. sent it to my mom though and she gets some good use from it now. Like I said, use it for fairly light tasks but i Still feel pretty covered with it if i don't wanna carry my much larger and heavier macbook pro.. I just don't like ipad OS for heavy multitasking.. I really like the way mission control works for that on macOS.. much prefer being able to see everything im working on at once and quickly switch between tasks.

I work with an iPad Air 5 and use an iPad mini 2 as second screen. I use it for zoom only. It helps a lot as my iPad Air is located on the desk, so not good for the camera. Having the second screen is a great help for my setup. I might buy an iPad mini 6 next Black Friday.

Great form factor and performance, but when I tried it in a shop, the scrolling instantly felt jarring, even though I'm used to 60 Hz monitors and assumed that I'll have no problems with it. I ended up buying a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 with 120 Hz Amoled screen. 🙈

Why not just get the iPad mini 6 now and then trade it in or sell it if you want the iPad mini 7 when it comes out?

I have it and use it like a kindle and planner. I also have a 12” pro for all other things. The mini is great for travel

The only reason to hold out for the 7 would be if you don’t need the upgrade thats in 6 right now. The only thing you can count on with 7 is a chip upgrade, possibly A17. With the 6 price being even the same price or less, the 7 rumor is it might not be out until 2nd half of 2024! I have a mini 2 and i was having trouble even running apps anymore. But i don’t need the upgrade to 7 or 6 so I’m not keen on needlessly buying a 6, with 7 coming close on its heels. So looking to 5 was looking pretty good. I found a cellular to put my mini 2 sim in and found one that had 256g memory. All that in itself is worth the $300 i paid for it. The IOS updates to IOS17, so it good for a couple more years. More chances of a nn3 chip in the 8 which opens up grater possibilities than waiting for the 7. Future for me is more in the AR glasses and devices that work with the better chips that are needed.

It’s hands down the best iPad size ! Though I’ll wait for the 7th gen.
