I can't understand how this movie lost out to ET. A far superior movie IMO

Please release the practical effects cut of the 2011 version.
People worked hard and with passion to make great animatronics.
They deserve to have their work seen, not painted over by CGI.

Universal Pictures, who dismissed the film for its negative publicity at the time of its release and fired John Carpenter, shouldn't be praising this movie anymore.
Picturesが、今更この映画を褒めるべきじゃないよ。

Practical effects were always better. It showed the work and dedication they had making good movies to watch. This is probably one of the practical effects movies ever.

The first time I watched this movie with my mates (2019) we instantly fell inlove. The milisecond the credits ended we replayed it all over again. I've watched it at least 6 times now and it gets better with every rewatching. I did not understand how incredibly in depth this movie truly is. To this day no one has figured out who the last thing assimilation is in the final scene that John Carpenter confirmed. But it's all there, hidden in plain sight just as the thing is. What an absolute masterpiece easily my top 3 👍

I wished they used practical effects like before considering how far we’ve come they’d probably be even better then before if someone tried in stead of just defaulting to carrying with cgi
