The SLS faces yet more setback after its 8-minute static fire was cut short just 67 seconds in, following a "major component failure". SpaceX Starship SN9 is more successful, netting 3 short-duration static fires in a single day, but not without running into problems of its own!

This video is intended for audiences 13+ years old.

I can confirm that LauncherOne was successful!
Payloads successfully deployed into their target orbit!
EDIT: A Malaysian news company has copyright-claimed this video due to the SLS footage - which is public domain since it was created by NASA 😠 I have filed a dispute, but this might mean that more ads appear on the video than I originally intended, since I now have no control over the monetisation.
EDIT 2: I won the dispute!

I was so hyped for the SLS test fire, and to see it shutdown early made me sad. Tho I know that the engine shutdown is better than the whole thing exploding on the actual launch, I'm frustrated that there will almost certainly be a delay from this.

In KSP, the 4-Vector engine block (designed to resemble the SLS engine configuration) is called 'Mammoth'...

Hi Matt. I have an idea: make a base on bop. Jools smallest moon and known for its low gravity and the body of the kraken.

From what I heard if the problem that SLS had, if that happened in flight it would have been able to keep flying since the tolerances that were set for the main engines during the test were much tighter than what they would have been in flight thus the computers wouldn't have shut down the engines.

I too have my rockets "static-fire" several times on the launchpad before their inevitable take-off and subsequent rapid unscheduled disassembly upon not missing the ground.
