I served in the Nixon White House. In 1972 I flew aboard a C5A to Iran with a stop in Spain that contained the presidential limo, three SS vehicles, A Marine One helicopter and all of our equipment. These transport aircraft are amazing.

When AF1 arrives at my nearby airport - London Stansted it’s ridiculous the chaos it creates. Multiple commercial flights are left holding or have to divert. There’s multiple vehicles, choppers and other aircraft just to serve a 2 day visit. Meanwhile our PM has one plane or travels commercially.
