Показать описание
In Japan, communication at drinking occasions is highly valued. Therefore, there are a variety of rules there. To be honest, there are many rules that even we Japanese think are mendacious... Well, in this video, I would like to learn about such rules at drinking parties, and I would like to react to the best video where you can learn in a fun way while making many interesting mistakes. The rules are a pain in the butt, but Japanese beer is delicious, so please drink it!

My 9 year old son loves Japanese culture as much as I do and we are planning on going there for a week at some point. I keep showing him your videos so we can prepare as much as possible.

Excellent work Shogo. These sorts of videos are great for several reasons: they afford a great deal of knowledge about the culture in a way that is both digestible and entertaining.
I recommend you make more reactions to such videos; life is stressful enough when addressing societal issues of a given nation, we need to break up the content with such content every-so-often.

The Chochin is definitely meant to protect the candle from the wind. But i'm also pretty certain that it is intended to diffuse the light to spread it around.

A single candle, while bright will not illuminate very far from the lightsource. But when the paper of the Chochin catches the light from the candle inside, it spreads the light in more directions so it's a better source of illumination.

I appreciate the explanations on the two videos they've done so far. If I watched the original video on my own, I wouldn't fully understand what's a joke and what's not, at least not every time, so Shogo and Kazu providing their insight is helpful. Also, I love Tomoko and Harumi laughing in the background.

Leave it to the Japanese to make something that is supposed to be relaxing and fun difficult by having rules and guidelines on how one should act. Love it haha

I talked about the sushi reaction video in my Japanese class. And this week I'll be able to talk about utage. Thanks so much for making this video. Namikibashi are so much fun to watch.

My assumption about eating those carbohydrate dishes at the end of the meal is probably those items tend to make you feel full and you would be less likely to eat and/or drink more items later. When I go out to eat especially if its for All You Can Eat I tend to avoid eating items like bread, rice, noodles, etc. especially early in the meal.

I like the jokes actually, well when you know some Japanese culture you'll definitely notice that it is a joke, especially when leaving your shoes outside the room of a restaurant it really doesn't mean you're gonna run after eating without paying. 😂😂

I guess, utage is about relaxing after work with your co-workers, but honestly, considering little rules like these, even that sounds somewhat stressful🥲 I hope you'll react to more of their videos, they're a lot of fun!

The avoiding drinking competitors drinks is a thing in America too. I have multiple friends who have worked for Co a cola and Pepsi and they have all said they're not allowed to be seen drinking competitors products or they could get in trouble

I have a question on protocol.... If I am a recovering alcoholic, or even just a teetotaler, should I decline the invitation, or is it okay to accept, but then order something like water or soda in place of the beer?
