Fantastic. Most places have these with the 5-way switch and compound 7.25”-9.5” radius neck. It looks like Sweetwater is the only place that has a Custom Shop 1954 70th Anniversary either true 3-way switch and 7.25” radius neck.

My very first guitar was a 1954 Stratocaster my dad gave to me for Christmas, 1963. Even then it was relicked! Mine went out the back of my brother's station wagon early July 25, 1965 when we forgot to put up the tailgate window after a long drive and a drummer dump-off. I hate to even ask how much these things are. My serial number was in the plate and was 0517.

Somehow I was able to get one with a non-compound radius. Just 7.25 all the way up, and it’s a 3-way switch. Sweetwater is the only place where I see those specs on a Custom Shop 70th Anniversary NOS 1954 Strat.

The Strat was basically Bill Carson's Signature guitar if we're honest. He did not want his name on it, feeling the finished product was beyond any one man's vision.

a green dish scrubber will 'matte' any gloss finish
acid to clean cement,
will age chrome
black stain on the neck, wipe it, leaving the bit on the edges of the frets
take a grinder the the body, to get the desired amount wear

I LOVE the Strat design. The look, playability and for some things, the sound. Many of my heroes played them.
As I grow older I realize that I’m probably more attracted to the Gibson sound?

These are beautiful guitars, but I am sure the price (as usual) will be way out of most individuals reach and as always will be a limited run just for those who have money to burn. Good job Fender.
But really? He doesn't know why the radius is 7.5 to 9.5. Anyone who has struggled with fret out knows this.
IMO all guitars and re-issue guitars should have this radius. Soft V and 7.25-9.5 is my favorite Fender neck profile...nothing better
