2:10 "Here is the secret about focused groups. They were designed to focus the research, that's all. If you don't know what to research, you get a focus group together to find out what to focus on."

Thanks for this perspective!

Very interesting, so refreshing, finally to hear "focus group' defined correctly.

Love your channel. Long format of this interview was great. Skip the click-bait title reference to Steve Jobs when the actual content is unrelated to him.... just you and Marty is good enough!!

Hi Bryan! A fan from Portugal!

Starting to discover your work, mostly because I follow The Futur, they introduced me to several aspects to design, my area, then to Marty Neumeier, to Seth Godin, to Fabian Geyrhalter, David Brier, etc., then, from starting to follow Seth I've found you, and funny enough today it went full circle, because I've just ended up watching you interviewing Chris Do... Nice one, for both of you.

Then, from side suggestions, of course, Marty Neumeier, and had to see... Well, I've seen 3 videos, this and another couple from the same interview. Will there be a full lenght interview? You're in my line of following too, like I've said before, right after those other 5 names... :D Sorry! You're the sixth, ahahah! :D But I'm enjoying your attitude towards «the Brand», so, well deserved.

I've been «binge watching» content regarding Seth's position on Branding, from several talks, his opinion on several things, then I think I'm shifting to Marty, then to Fabian, and always keeping up with Chris. Where should I «fit» you here? What do you consider yourself? In fact, from all of you, despite personal stuff that I've seen from you specifically, I'm not very aware of what you do outside this online work.

I'm already trying to apply Seth's vision into myself, starting to write my own posts (gave the first step a couple of days ago, after several hours of videos and the incorporation of his notions, Purple Cow, etc.), and hope to, someday, also being able to properly provide good advice on Branding, according to these guys, shifting from the view we had, I had, at least, in university!

Good luck and thank you! If you reply, even better! Cheers!

So much insight in such a short clip! 👍 Focus groups focus research. That’s it. Also I like his idea of “clients as secret shoppers.” Its kind of like the director of a movie running to hide in a bathroom stall after a premiere before everyone else, so they can get the actual, honest “near life situation” reviews. 👏

You’re being disingenuous with this title.
