Thank you!!!! You are a lifesaver! I had 67 GB of photos & videos stored on my iPad and I was approaching my total 128 GB. I purchased 2 TB of iCloud storage space each month for my family in case something happened to any devices but didn’t know how to use it to clear my iPad storage. I like to look at my crisp in focus photos. I thought the only way to save space on my iPad using the iCloud was to upload my photos and only be able to see that faint view that required me to download each picture to actually see the details anytime I looked at them, so I never used it. I never understood the File system on my iPad until this video. It is fantastic. I just sat down and saved 2GB of photos to my iCloud file; deleted the photos stored on my iPad and instantly freed up 2GB. And it’s a clear version of photos whenever I click on my iCloud Photos. I can’t thank you enough! You’re a genius! 😊

the photos saved there will end up in the regular icloud?

I have more than 100gb of stored footage and pictures on my computer and I don’t want to pay for more storage on iCloud just wanted to share the way I store my media for 3 years I’ve been doing it this way and it’s pretty good but I can see how iCloud might be easier and less troublesome for some people

hello, when i save the pictures to files " icloud drive ", there is one problem : the original date of the picture taken doesnt show, is there a solution ?? i really need to keep the original dates

If you use the last method, what happens if your iCloud subscription runs out? Are the photos still stored in the iCloud file?

Well the fun fact i have tried doing both the options to save my photos however the quality of the photos in both the process is not great. I have compared with the original and realise the quality is bad.. how do we save the photos in original format without impacting the quality..
