Comedian Jim Gaffigan said, "You ever have so much to do you just decide to take a nap?" Which 100% describes me.

No-one can hack into your paper. No-one can show you ads to distract you. No-one can try to convince you that what you are doing is wrong. It's your paper.

There’s nothing more satisfying then crossing shit off a written list. Loved this!

Hi Peter! It's been over a year since this video came out and I just want to share that I finally finished doing this for 365 days! Looking back, the little steps I did every day helped me achieve a lot of cool things in the past year. Landed a new job, a side gig doing photography in my free time and a lot of other achievements. It was thanks to this video I was able to pull myself out of the pandemic. Thank you :)

"Starting somewhere instead of starting nowhere at all". Really goes well with that quote of your sister: "Done is better than perfect". And that really helps me through the finish line of all my projects.

I started doing this a few years back because I noticed my cousin brought a notebook everywhere. Accomplished so much because of it. It reintroduced me to doodling which led to drawing, full-color drawing with oil markers, then to painting. It then led me to write my own book and challenged me to draw a children's alphabet book within a week. Helped me learn Italian and currently learning Japanese.

I removed all social media from my phone, I then deleted all my social media, I them created my own website, I have a dumb flip phone, but I still use a iPad Pro for work. My journal is a leather cover that had two note books one is for my writing and reading or research, the other is work, study and tasks, I have 3 different quality Parker rollerball pens black, blue and green, I have a pencil as well. Nothing freaks people out more when you’re in a coffee shop reading a book and start underlining things in pencil with a small ruler and start making notes in a notebook.

As a psychologist, I've recommended this practice to many of my patients. It's not for everyone though, but I do encourage people to try it out. Good to see you're promoting this here.

I suffered from depression a while ago and I couldn't get anything done at all. My thoughts were like a giant ball of chaos, lost my job, wife cheated on me, best friend died from cancer, had to take care of my dog... and on and on and on. This is where I got the suggestion from my doctor to take a pen and a piece of paper and write down all that Chaos in my head. And that's what I did and still do to this day only that I've gotten through with the depression and now the writing is more like a great habit to capture ideas, thoughts and to do lists. Simply taking a few minutes of the day to sit down and write, really can bring some order into that chaos, that procrastination or creative struggle. It helped me a lot.

My ADHD is so bad sometimes that I have to write out a to do list for even just the next hour as I get up, go to the kitchen, put the kettle on, go to the bathroom, make tea, get a snack etc. Like everything has to be planned out sometimes or I will just forget and get distracted. Not to mention all the to do lists of actual tasks and work that I need to do. I can definitely vouch for the to-do list, it basically helps me function.

"When there's so many things get to be done, I just rather do none of them instead of doing any of them"

So relatable TT

You may have just helped motivate me, I found out I have severe ADHD and am trying to live with it and control it so this is a great idea! Thank you PM!

Love this!

My rule: Pen & paper for planning, computer for working.
If I sit down at the computer without a handwritten plan, I just end up wasting time on the internet.

I've tried it all... Covey Planner, daily planners, apps, EVERYTHING! This is simple, straight forward and pocket size. Thank you Peter. I'm going to give it a go!

Dude... The whole thing of describing "Too much to do and focus on, so I end up doing NOTHING" Literally describes a symptom of conditions like ADHD. I know that feeling too damn well.

How one person halfway across the world — who I’ve never met nor interacted with before — could make such a huge impact in my life, is so crazy amazing to me.

You got me from 0 to where I am now. You may not know me, but heck I feel like you’ve been such a great friend and mentor all these years. Thank you for being you and sharing that to the world. 🙌🏻
