If you're on the Verizon network, your best bet is to go to a Verizon store (owned by Verizon and not a franchise) and have their service desk execute a system refresh for your phone. I tried to do a number of different things -- including this -- and none of it worked. The Verizon store visit took all of 5 minutes, worked perfectly the first time -- and has remained OK ever since. FYI. Not saying this might work for you -- but if it doesn't try a store visit.

Any tips on when the problem only happens on iMessage for the Mac? My phone sends to android just fine. But iMessage on my computer is what balks and throws the error message. I don't see similar settings for the computer's iMessage.

I don’t have “group message” as an option like you do. I have the iPhone 14pro. My issue is, I have multiple group chats for work and it’s mixed with iPhone and android users. For whatever reason when I try to send pictures, it always says message failure.

A family member has android and I iPhone. When I try and send a photo it as a blank photo icon. Sometimes there is no msg rec’d. It is so bad I have to use email. She can send me a text. A Family emergency and this is a problem.

How do you fix it if you can't send links from an iphone to android? (internet links, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) To another iphone user, they send fine with a preview screen. To an android user, they don't work.
