Chinese quick change tool post review - yay or nay?

So I caved and bought a "European Chinesium" tool post from the far East. Does it do what it should? Is it really made of cheese? Watch this to get to the bottom of value versus quality. I also check out the tool holders while I'm at it.

I was cleaning the original italian ones and tested them before trying to deburr and deepen the threads. They turned out to be well over HRC 60. I don't know what steel is that hard in the context of such tools, but they are practically harder than that tap. And yes, they are about as old as me and will not show wear within my or my childrens lifetime.

Chinese call them italian style tool post for their origin, in case someone tries to look for them. I think european style would be multifix for chinese?

I feel that your purchase was a hit, and your set will last several lifetimes.
Do you have the link to the vendor of those tools available?
Regards from Toronto, Canada.

Hey! A fellow machinist also in Norway. I'd be interested to have a chat, I'm based in Stavanger and struggling with sourcing, well almost anything. If you read this, please let me know how I can contact you.

Håper vi snakkes snart :)
