Almost a month after 200 Texan rebels were defeated at the Battle of the Alamo, the rebel army got its revenge, earning Texas its independence.

@joey Leverton I thank you for the compliment for my state.I live in the town where our Lone Star Flag was designed, the town of Montgomery. A sleepy little village until about 15 years ago. There's history here, not as old as Mother England, something we can be proud of.lf you Google the town of Montgomery, l am sure you will find plenty.l always let people know, the summer months are sweltering especially east of the 98th meridian.Late March, early April are fine times with the bluebonnets, Indian paintbrush blooming.And I'm sure someone will greet you with a howdy.
