I like how all 3 companies now have their own goon clip

I like the YTX form factor. Shuttle used to do something very similar size-wise with their early Shuttle motherboards. I think they called it rotated mATX.

The YTX form is basically mATX cut down, not ITX scaled up. They say it is cheaper to manufacture than mATX. Since most people buy matx just because of the price and do not fully utilize all pcie lanes, they decided to cut these board parts and use those pcie lanes to put more m2 port on the board.

Thanks, Steve.
I'm a Chinese audience that really amazed at your good pronounciation of 新年快樂, and also how well informed you're about the image of dragon in traditional Chinese context.
Appreciate this channel and all you guys' effort.

YTX seems cool. Having the extra space not hidden behind the gpu seems like it’ll be handy for easy storage upgrades and such.

The Sapphire Pulse 7900XT was $670 on Amazon last night, crazy good deal

24:28 "the classic DOUBLE DRAGON video card" I laughed WAY too hard at this. So freaking funny

6:52 I think it will be refresh, like the steam deck OLED. There is no new hardware to justify a "2", they'll fix the current problems and will give it maybe 7500MHz LP DDR5.

yerah, GPUs are in Germany above MSRP because people don't factor in the 19% VAT. 999$ USD translates to around 1100€ including VAT and 927€ w/o VAT, depending on state of currency exchange that is

The Cooler Master NR200 could fit the motheboard and support backside connectors with the PSU cage mounted on the front

YTX might be good for open ITX tower cases like the XTIA cases.

15:58 Turn the M.2 slots 90° for shorter traces. Then you can fit the one from the bottom too. And an extra E- key one.

Put connectors other side too, maybe flat, twist 90°.

Give me at least 1 second pcie slot.

For the YTX size the Cooler Master NR200 should be somewhat of a fit if the PSU is front-mounted. Not sure about the rear-side connector clearance though, especially the EPS connector. Rest of the connectors seem to overhang the motherboard tray.

Realizing now what a missed opportunity it was that 13th gen wasn't called _Crystal Lake._

The YTX motherboard reminds me of the defunct BTX form factor used by a few companies in the early 2000s.

That 3050 6gb power requirement got me interested but its just barely cheaper than the standard 3050 with just 80% of the performance, should have been called the 3040.

YTX Motherboard in an standard ATX case would be interesting for a custom loop since the unused motherboard tray space would be a great spot for a distro-plate.

The old school Shuttle prebuild had a motherboard formfactor similar to the Maxsun ytx.
