Heavy police presence as rival protesters clash on uni campus

Protesters were met with a heavy police presence as they rallied at Melbourne’s Monash University at an event commemorating fallen Israeli soldiers and victims of terror attacks on Monday night. Pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel supporters clashed outside the hall where the event was being held with police attempting to control the chaos. The incident followed reports the Albanese government is set to announce a probe into the rise of antisemitism in university campuses across the country.
