This happened to me and my sister when we were kids. She was choking on a gummy bear and I did the Heimlich maneuver I’d seen on tv. I heard from her nearly 2 decades later that she’s still so grateful for me that I did that. I didn’t even know she remembered and it warmed my heart. I’m glad to have been there.

It’s so funny how I’m 35 and still freaked out when my 3y/o choked . 😪 I freaked out and honestly I didn’t know what I was doing to help him. This 6yo is a real hero.

How a 6 years old kids can know this ??? That amazing. In France we don't even learn that in highschool if we don't have a specific course ! We can do a first aid training, but It's optional and even adults can don't know this act for save life ...

as a med student taught all my family members and relatives about heimlich maneuver and other first aid techniques few days back... No one knew about heimlich manuever only knew about back blows.... So its astonishing to see a child at that age to perform it and that to very quickly ...amazing💯

Even the 3 year old did the proper motion to indicate she is choking. These are some advanced kids. Or thats just instinct i guess haha
