When i try to play mp3 file with Windows media player, i am getting the message 'Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device'. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program or it might not be functioning properly.
Solution: How to fix - check your volume icon, sometimes it might show you the red x symbol or error message 'No Audio Output Device is installed'. For such cases, restart your computer.
Other cases: If you have improperly unplugged your PC from the TV, while watching movies in vlc or windows media player, then just restart your computer. This will works.

i think i found the solution .
those of you which cannot watch youtube and while playing songs you get a message something about there is no sound device or maybe used by another program, i guess i found a solution. first right click on speakers /headphones and click playback devices then in speakers/headphones go to properties go to advanced and click on restore default and apply and do the same in enchancements option too and click ok. hope this helps !

wmp was just playing the file. I played the file completely using iTunes moments before. WMP just stops w/the error message shown in the video clip. Where does one find "speakers/headphones"?
