Fun fact: Sunny’s eye gouging out is actually considered a ‘win’ state in the game. I know this because I used a debug mod to add in more party members to the Basil boss fight for shits and giggles, and when Basil did his final attack on Sunny, the party members were smiling like the battle was won, thus, if you were to put Omori and Sunny in the same boat, Sunny has around the most win states out of any character, with his and Omori’s normal win state when they win a battle, as well as when Basil does his final attack. The second most is Aubrey, Kel, and Hero with their Headspace and real world win states. The one character with the least win states is actually Basil due to his Headspace counterpart only having a win state, and it makes it even less so when him being a party member is console exclusive.

i noticed something with the osts placement, knowing now that omori ost 153 is intentionally *mari's* age and birth month while omori ost 167 is *sunny's* age and birth month, omori ost 162 being *basil's* age and birth month. (note that kel, aubrey and hero *doesn't* have these) and all sunny, mari and basil had... something to do

Im not sure why, but this song reminds me of a purgatory. The campbells like there is your final judgment. Here comes your procession, thanks your catastrophes.
You are in a obscure abandoned church with nobody around, you are stressed out because all your sins are being judged and there is no escape. Then all you see is a liminal place with a red and black "sky" (like the one in the black space or the big arms throne scene), just earape and distorted sounds. Idk, but i like this kind of vibe. Uncomfortable but at the same time relaxing. One of my favorites ost for sure!
