Gran Turismo 7 Review

"On the eve of the series' 25th birthday, Gran Turismo 7 is more than just a celebration of cars this time around; in some ways, it's also a celebration of itself. A modern mix of the original Gran Turismo's trendsetting format with GT Sport's stern but very successful focus on competitive online racing, this version is a potent podium performance from developer Polyphony Digital. With gorgeous graphics, a fantastic driving feel and racing options galore, it's the best the series has been since its dominant PlayStation 2 era. It does have some significant failings, though, including how it continues to cripple its career mode races with dreadfully flawed rolling starts, its car list is no longer as comprehensive as the competition, and its always-online single-player mode still seems needlessly punitive. But all of that is on the periphery of GT7's outstanding driving experiences, which are enhanced by the PS5's fantastic graphics and intense and flavourful haptic feedback via the DualSense controller."

Any $60+ game with micro-transactions should be an automatic 1/10. Especially this game; online only and micro-transactions pushed through an unreasonable grind without them

Outlets need to re-review this game. The experience reviewers had does NOT reflect what the actual customers are having. The MTX being disabled prior to launch is downright deceptive.

You should update your review because they snuck in micro transactions and then nerfed race rewards, pushing you to buy cars for as much as $40 each

It’s really sad and unfortunate that I’m seeing people console warring in the comments. As an Xbox fan, both Forza Horizon 5 and Gran Turismo 7 are both quality games

Sad to hear the music selection is bad … because hearing “Panama” by Van Halen in Gran Turismo 4 was absolutely mind blowing it made you legitimately excited to play the game

That story about the 1997 release is so accurate to my own experience as well. Only my bad joystick list third party controller was red.
