but the normal bath mat is soft and comfy for recovery after an intense toilet battle where you need to lay down and take a break before getting back on

I have one they're pretty cool and work great only issue is they do stain and you've got a use sandpaper to remove it which changes the color of the mat

I'm literally on the toilet, using the same regular mat, using the same exact socks💀💀💀

yes. Nothing like stepping onto cold stone after a warm, cozy shower

I lived in Japan and mats like this are standard there. The water disappears like magic

I have one of them, it’s actually pretty nice and the texture isn’t like tile, it’s grippy and you won’t slip.

Yes it really works because I have one BUT terrible cold and uncomfortable in the winter. It works by wicking water away

My cat considers the bathmat to be "his" bed and if I put a stone there instead he'd kill me in my sleep. Maybe not even wait until I was asleep before killing me.

They work but in most people’s bathroom the humidity is too high to evaporate all the water. You have to set it out in the sun once every 1-2 weeks to fully dry it so it works well again. It will eventually stop absorbing water fast enough to be useful.

I have one for outside my shower. Something my neighbor upstairs did caused a nasty leak from the ceiling. Came down like a medium flow shower head. The stone mat absorbed all of it. Completely drenched and an hour later it was completely dry. Not a drop on the floor. I love that thing.

I replaced my bathroom mat with chamois cloth. Game changer!!. Wet already? Just rinse, squeeze out the water, can be used immediately. Look dirty? A quick wash with detergent, rinse and squeeze, can be used immediately. Going on a trip? It will dry itself when not used. 👌
