True Solo DCS experience when you get started F/A-18 CAMPAIGN PART 1

This is Mission Alert 5. The first part of a 5 part campaign where we will be using the F/A-18's full multirole capacity.
This mission is a CAP (combat air patrol) while our carrier ship is under attack from the Soviet Union as we support the Republic of Georgia. Hint to the next part of this campaign... air strikes!

My channel is full of flight sim content. Mostly DCS World (Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics) and soon VTOL VR! I love using the air to ground mode of the jet since it's often under represented.
I can't wait for the F15E Strike Eagle; I will also be flying it when it comes out.

Nice! The gun is my favorite way to dispatch the bad guys, and my least proficient way. I just don't have the knack. I let loose way too many rounds in each burst and run out of ammo before I get them all. You are very disciplined with the rock & roll. And keeping SA is also a virtue. Too many times I get fixated on my guy and someone else gets on my six. Thank God I have the immortal mode turned on! lol I can hear the impact of the missiles hitting my ship and can feel their frustration! Why won't this guy die? We've hit him with 4 missiles and he's still flying! Then I use my Fox 4 as a last resort. Works every time!

Watching that landing it seems you didn't learn the Hornet very well, lol. AOA is one of the most basic things.
