What I love about MiG alley stories is that it always starts off with describing the MiG's as the superior combat aircraft, as if it's a token hat-tip to all the other people that described the reputation of these two warring aircraft.

And it basically ends on "Sure, the MiG-19 was more technologically advanced, but the Sabre... Well, it was a Sabre."

My grandfather served in Korea and Vietnam for the Air Force and he loves these planes but he also loves the F-100 Super Sabre but he's pulled enough out of barrier to not see them again probably. They had two collide due to them ram each other on take off or landing.

I grew up in a town that had one of these (I think it was f-86) in the town made into a park. In the 80's there was a ladder and a slide going off the cockpit.

I think now it's kinda repainted and no more climbing on it.

Duuudeee, F-86 Sabre is probably my most favorite plane ever. I have a model of it hanging from my ceiling

Cool fact is the F-86 did have a massive advantage in dog fights due to having the APG-30 gunsight which had radar guided piper to give defection lead on a target.
