I am beyond hype for the coming new arc. I'm hoping it starts dropping soon, as the second half of the TYBW arc is airing this summer. I feel like it was no mistake the original Gotei 13 were drawn and then shown in the anime. These new bankai and trained bankai are gonna be wild.

Ichigo has the most powerful bankai lol. It was so powerful that Ywach didn't want him using it so he used the almighty to break it in the future saying "The new Tensa Zangetsu...is a dangerous bankai" "This should be testament to how much I respect your power" (after breaking the bankai) This would never be a thing with anyone else. Ichigo is basically like a second soul king having in him hallow soul reaper and quency powers. The races or species that come from the soul king. In a few hundred years his power would be crazier than any other spiritual being even though they have thousands of years as a head start.

If he really wanted to, Zaraki could easily learn hado and Bakudo, as stated in the manga that he only trained in swordsmanship for one day out of fear that he may become unstoppable… that says alot coming from the Strongest Grandpa in anime history.
I love his character design and develop nonetheless and im glad he finally let go of his restraints

So I'm posting this before watching but I'm gonna guess they will ignore any info about Kenpachi from SAFWY and CFYOW, which I think give more of an idea of how bottomless his power can truly be
Edit: after watching it they did ignore the novels. Unfortunate so many recently going over the series after it boomed back into popularity ignore these novels completely when several have been stated by Kubo to be considered Canon because he closely helped with some of them and approve decisions made for stories.

You missed some things during the Unohana fight. Like the fact that he wasn't "passing out" she was killing him repeatedly. And we totally got to see her Bankai.

I imagine Kenpachi becoming the Captain Commander some hundreds to thousand years after. He's way of thinking would change, he'd learn to be calm like Unohana and become a true leader. Reminds me of Raizen from Yuyu Hakusho. Looks brutal and savage but steadily rules his region peacefully.

Bankai's tend to be treated as tactical rock paper scissors rather than a be-all-to-end-all. It's hard to figure out which way a fight would go.

After I saw the zaraki vs Ichigo battle I completely stopped caring about Ichigo. Ichigo might have won but zaraki is a monster and more fun to watch. I only like watching Ichigo when he loses control.
