Most fucked up part of Ichibei's zanpakuto is that, when Ichigo first met Old Man Zangetsu, the first time he tells Ichigo his name, the *text in the speech bubble* is blotted out and the bubble itself is fractured, explicitly stated by Kubo to be because of Ichibei stealing Yhwach's name. Ichibei's direct influence was felt almost 500 chapters before we were introduced to him.

It’s theorized that Ichigo’s true bankai ability has something to do with rejecting fate as it would be a direct counter too yhwach’s almighty

I think the most terrifying part of Urahara's bankai is the "restructure" bit. The guy he fights can become immune to any specific kind of damage he's taken once (and the full form he uses while facing Urahara can apply that immunity to any damage of the same fundamental type). This means Urahara can change anything within his bankai's area of effect on a fundamental level.

Senjumaru not being on this list is a mf crime

To be honest, I think Urahara is being underrated here. It's not just anything Benihime touches, it reconstructs anything within a wide area around her.

He uses it on his eyes to restore them after they'd been obliterated, his arm to make himself insanely strong, his enemy Askin to unravel his arm, spacetime around him to create rifts through space that others can move through, the abilities of his opponents to change their form.

We see it for such a short amount of time, and as such it doesn't get all that much of an opportunity to impress, but conceptually it's one of those Bankai that are similar to Ichibe's Bankai, it just works on a more mechanical level rather than a conceptual level.

Bankai is cool for the same reason i think Nen and Cursed Techniques are cool, it never gets old because its always unique. One Bankai can make an ice dragon, one can make millions of tiny little blades that look like flower petals, and one can absorb and repel the power of a God.

What I've finally realized thanks to the anime (I missed it in the manga) is despite his confidence he could beat yuha, ichibei also picked BLACK ant to try to keep dominion over him, just in case.

I always believed that once Kenpachi had "awakened" after his training with Unohana was done, the eyepatch was more symbolic than functional. I know that he obviously became exponentially stronger once his subconscious shackles were undone but I thought the Unohana fight also cleared him of wanting to supress himself in order to prolong fights. Was there something in the manga about him getting an improved eyepatch to once again hinder his power? I know he immediately removed it against Gerard so I guess that answers my question.

I'd have Senjumaru's at #3 above Yamamoto's, Ichibei at #2, and Ichigo at #1 despite not knowing what it does. It was strong enough to challenge a Soul King amped Yhawach using The Almighty in a future timeline, no chance Ichibei can do that.

yep Zaraki's bankai is not complicated. It just fills the user up with immense strength. So much so infact that even Zaraki himself isnt able to fully tame it currently. Basically his bankai is a multiplier on his own strength. Meaning any other captain who is physically weaker, lets say Soifon who primarily excels in speed and assasination style combat, is arguably physically one of the weaker ones "strength-wise"(i know she is plenty strong, but so are practically all captains lmao, for this example i am just assuming her excellent and destructive hand to hand combat as a testament to her martial skill not physical strength) Her having a strength multiplying bankai won't help her too much. But for someone like Zaraki, this is just the perfect one. A simple bankai that just makes him a monster.
Long story short, his bankai isnt broken, he is. So imo his bankai should be below Kisuke and Shinji,

Yamamotos Bankai Is Underrated cause most are unaware the Author Used Occult Kahbalistic Knowledge for Yamamotos Bankai his Bankai Addresses The 4 winds The 4 Cardinal Directions and The 4 Flames Of Hell even the directions he calls are Accurate to the manner of a full ceremonial ritual

Id love to see a video comparing the bounds of “limitless” power types such as wish granting, imagination and alll other manifestation types. I know they’re has to be subtle differences in how the play out with them coming from different universes, just an interesting idea. Have a great day!

Bleach was always my favorite of the Big 3. I liked Naruto and One Piece just fine, they are great, have a lot of cool moments and all that, but Bleach was always just a little bit better in my opinion. So I'm very happy to see you talking about it.

Unohana's Bankai is not acidic. When Zaraki states, "I'm melting", it is symbolic. He's stating that the person he thought himself to be, the faux Kenpachi in name only with restrictions that he placed upon himself so that he might find the enjoyment of battle once more, is falling away. After being killed hundreds if not thousands of times and revived, he is finally reverting to his true self, the shell of the former Zaraki melting away to reveal what he was as a child-a skeleton swining a sword, a true God of Death who affirms his existence in battle. It is why when he looks upon Unohana at this point, he sees he for what she has always been, the same skeleton swinging her blade that he used to be and has now become again. Reducing Minazuki's power to acid robs the entire emotional thrust of the relationship between Zaraki and Unohana and his awakening in that battle and reduces it down to, "Acid blade goes The anime finally made it abundantly clear with the styled shots of the white background as he is stripped of all pretense that it is symbolism. No more acid nonsense.

I made a lot of OCs when I was a kid watching shonen and I had one for bleach with a bankai ability called "over ride" where my sword would send out more of an emp looking pulse and anything it hits I can "over ride" to control. Projectiles, attacks, and even the environment itself would temporarily be redirected and/or weakend or strenghtened.

I fully maintain ichigos power is litterally that he is the main character. Hes able to ignore things like fate or future vission because hes unbound by those concepts "able to write his own story" so to speak. It plays into both ywach and uryu as well. Uryus power being the antithesis id name ichigos shrift(if he had one instead of zangetsu) protaganist. Thats why no matter how hard ywach trys to alter the future to break the sword he cant ever really get rid of it
