Shimotsuki Ushimaru is great uncle of zorro, he is brother of zoro's grandmother shimotsuki furika, furika married Roronoa Pinzoro and Roronoa arashi was born(zoro's father) arashi married Tera(zoro's mother) and zoro was born. So zoro is descendant of shimotsuki ryuma he has shimotsuki blood in him. means he has blood of strongest swordsman. Hehehe I knew my man has strongest bloodline.

I think Zoro was from Void Century. Maybe, Zoro is the son of one of the Wano Samurais who fought together with Joyboy especially under Shimotzuki Clan. They asked Toki to send Zoro in the future where he can meet the future Joyboy which is Luffy. Also, maybe Shimotzuki clan passed down that hidden message down to their clan mates that in the future, there will be a Shitmotzuki that will be Joyboy's comrade. That's why Zoro backstory about his origin (family scenes) is still on process.
